01 · Why a second opinion
The free advisor narrows grade, geometry and cutting data in seconds, and for most jobs that is enough. But a wear pattern on your actual edge is evidence. Flank wear, cratering, built-up edge, chipping and thermal cracking each point to a different root cause, and the fix depends on your machine, your fixture, your batch and your coolant. Reading that takes someone who has stood at the spindle and seen the same failure a hundred times. That is what this is.

04 · What to send
A clear photo of the wear makes the diagnosis sharper, but it is not mandatory. If you only have the parameters and the symptom, send those and I will tell you whether a photo is needed before I start.
Tip: shoot the edge under raking light against a plain background. A phone macro is plenty.
