How buying from us works

Who we are

CuttingToolsAI is an independent cutting-tool intelligence service based in the Netherlands. Our expertise comes from two decades of hands-on work in cutting-tool manufacturing: carbide tool production, CNC tool grinding, tool measurement and running production at tool makers. The advisor and the reports are built on that experience and on manufacturer-published data.

We do not sell tools. We hold no distributor agreement with any manufacturer and take no commission or placement fee. No brand pays to appear in an answer. That is why we can show you the comparison a dealer has no reason to give you.

What you can buy

Grade report, USD 57 (about EUR 49), up to 3 grades. For each grade: the grades from other makers at the same ISO 513 application position, with the number of manufacturer charts behind each match; candidates on one chart kept apart and not recommended; published cutting speeds where the maker gives them, each with its source; a cost-per-part sheet (XLSX) you fill with your own prices; and a short validation plan. Delivered as PDF + XLSX by email, usually within the hour. No account needed.

Free, no payment: the grade finder, the coverage check for your grade list (it tells you what we can cover before you pay anything), the engineer's note and the AI advisor.

Payment

Payment runs through Gumroad, a payment platform for digital products. You pay by card on Gumroad's checkout. Your card details go to Gumroad and its payment processors; they never reach us and we never store them. You receive a Gumroad receipt by email. Need an invoice for your company? Generate one from the link in that receipt, with your company name and VAT ID.

One-time price, no subscription

Every report is a single payment. Nothing renews, nothing is stored for a later charge, and there is nothing to cancel.

Refund guarantee

If the report is not useful to you, reply to the email that delivered it within 14 days and we refund the full price. No form and no questions. If we cannot generate your report at all, we refund it and tell you why.

What the report is, and what it is not

• Every match comes from charts the manufacturers publish themselves, and the report says how many charts stand behind it.
• Nothing is estimated or interpolated. A value we could not find in a published source is marked as not available, not guessed.
• Same chart position does not mean same performance. Substrate, coating and edge preparation differ by maker, so every change is a trial on one machine and one part first.
